This very large duplex was obtained as a transferred asset to the Museum of Power, Langford in Essex from the Museum of London reserve collection. The pump is unrestored and is on display at the Museum of Power. (2006) |

This pump is owned by Norman Heath and is on display at the Museum of Power at Langford in Essex. This pump was one of two purchased from East Greenwich Gas Works in 1971 and used at Caerphilly Tar Plant pumping tar. They were installed in the mid 1970s and used up until the end of 1985. This pump was purchased by Norman Heath from Weymouth and is believed to have been used at the Portland MoD base. It is on display at the Museum of Power, Langford in Essex. It is fitted with a Hayward-Tyler pump cover. (2007) |

Paxman Compound Horizontal Steam Engine
Originally this engine powered a dredger. Following salvage, it was restored by the apprentices at the Paxman factory in Colchester and presented to the City for display. It was subsequently not displayed and offered to the Museum of Power as a transferred asset. It has since been returned to full working order under the supervision of ex-test engineer at Paxmans, Alex Walford. Located in the main engine hall it is run regularly on compressed air.
